A week ago today I had the honor of driving to Richmond, Virgina to give a presentation at the Virginia Professional Photographers Association (VPPA) annual convention. It was a great experience, and I got to give my “It’s the Communication, Stupid!” presentation for the very first time.  It went well, even though we had a fire alarm go off right in the middle of my two hours.

I want to thank Pete Wright for putting my name in the hat for this event and Stephanie Garr Adams for making all the plans for me. Thanks to Michael Corbin for being my contact and taking care of me at the event.  I’d also like to say thanks to all the new folks I met and who attended my presentation, but especially to two new friends who made my last night that much more enjoyable. Thank you Jeanette Burkle and Andrew Clark for such an engaging and refreshing conversation in the hospitality suite. I look forward to following your work and keeping in touch with you.
