He has covered weddings in the Southeastern United States, the Greater Boston area, Denver, Colorado, and Kingston, Ontario, Canada. During the wedding season, Armstrong chooses to shoot a limited number of weddings. He says, "I'm looking for couples who share my artistic vision of their special day. It's important that we're a good match."

He specializes in glamour, but does not limit himself to a single genre. "Glamour is my first love. There's something special about showing the world how beautiful a woman can be, but there is also something that intrigues me about fashion and editorial imagery."
